The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)

The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) course has been designed to provide a clear understanding of the IMS technologies and services.

The two day course includes a discussion on the IMS markets including benefits to the end user and operators. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is extensively reviewed to enable a greater understanding of the IMS architecture and procedures. Examples of IMS services are used throughout the course, demonstrating the principles of security, QoS and call flows in the service environment.

This course also discusses other service based technologies such as OSA Parlay, JAIN and CAMEL and considers the Interworking possibilities between these and IMS.
