Facilitator Biographies:

Ken Blakeslee
Ken is one of Europe’s leading experts on Mobile Services and Applications with particular focus on the emerging new media content, applications and commerce methodologies, and the merging of these with the ubiquitous, personal access of mobile. WebMobility Ventures focuses on investing and advising companies on bringing innovations in multimedia mobility to market.

Richard Kramer
After four years as the #1 rated technology analyst in Europe, Richard left his role as head of technology research at Goldman Sachs in January 2000 to form the first - and still only - independent technology research group in Europe. Unlike other analysts, Arete has no conflicts of interest preventing their telling the truth about technology and after the scandals surrounding deceptive and poor quality analysis, Arete found an increasing demand for its independent views on telecoms, software, semis and services.

Brett Simpson
Before co-founding Arete, Brett spent two years specialising in telecommunications equipment and semiconductors at Goldman Sachs International. Prior to his time at Goldman, Brett had three years with Ericsson, working in a business development role covering all aspects of wireline and wireless telecom infrastructure.

Arete Research
Arete Research is the leading independent global technology and telecoms equity research firm, as voted in the most recent survey by Global Investor. Founded in early 2000 by Goldman Sachs' former tech research team, we analyse technology trends and provide our views to a restricted group of investors including many of the largest pension, mutual and hedge fund managers. We are totally independent - we do no corporate advisory work, and by principle never receive any form of compensation from companies we analyse. We have extensive coverage of the global telcos and technology space, covering software, services, hardware including telecoms equipment and the global semiconductor space and we're best known for theme reports in key growth segments of tech.
