Objectives:

IP interconnect is complex. It happens in different forms and in different places and affects fixed line and convergent operators. Each form of IP interconnect has its own unique set of technical and commercial parameters to unravel. This interactive, individually based workshop explains the IP Interconnection parameters in detail to guide strategy and planning in organisations faced with the IP interconnect problem.

Technical, regulatory and strategic issues of the IP interconnect framework will be the focal points of the day.

  • Dr Markus Steingröver, Managing Partner and Head of Wholesale Strategies, Detecon international

  • Dr. Markus Steingröver is Managing Partner and Head of the Wholesales Strategies Group in the Strategy and Marketing Department of DETECON International. Before joining DETECON International, Dr. Markus Steingröver was Costing and Tariff Setting Expert at the German Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Posts (RegTP). He advised mobile and fixed operators as well as regulatory authorities on a broad range of wholesale topics all around the world. A particular focus of Dr. Steingröver is interconnection and costing. He also led several projects dealing with wholesale business development strategies, broadband access.

  • Martina Haunert, Competence Practice Strategy & Marketing Wholesale Strategies, Detecon International

  • Martina Haunert is Senior Consultant in the Wholesale Strategies Group of Detecon. Before joining Detecon, she was heading the Regulatory Strategy Department of T-Com in Slovak Republic. In the last eight years, Ms. Haunert led several projects dealing with regulatory policies and wholesale strategies in various countries. Her expertise covers the wide spectrum of carrier regulation including interconnection with focus on NGN.

  • Kees van Peer, Network Consultant, Detecon International

  • Kees van Peer is Consultant in the Packet Network Architecture & Services Group of Detecon. He is a profound expert in all IP/MPLS and IPv4/IPv6 migration related issues. Before joining Detecon he was working for a global carrier and governmental organization in the Netherlands. Mr. van Peer led and supported several projects in the area of NGN architecture and design, planning and implementation of nationwide IP core and transport networks in different countries.
