The ICU Forum offers Internet Communications Users a platform to share views, exchange information and recommend products and services that members have found to add value to the Internet communications experience. Membership is open to everybody who is willing to contribute to improving and bringing Internet communications to a broader user base. The Forum is a non-profit association funded by its members.

The IP/MPLS Forum is an international, non-profit association of service providers, equipment vendors, testing centers and enterprise users. The Forum's mission is to drive the global success of IP/MPLS-based technology, networks, and services while focusing on application and deployment solutions. The Forum is driving the convergence of ATM, Frame Relay and IP/MPLS technologies in the global telecom industry through implementation agreements educational and marketing resources and programs as well as interoperability initiatives.

The Internet Telephony Services Providers' Association (ITSPA) is the UK VoIP industry's trade body, representing network operators, service providers and other businesses involved with the supply of VoIP services to business and residential customers within the United Kingdom. ITSPA has the following aims:

• To encourage the innovation and development of the VoIP industry through the promotion of self-regulation and competition;
• To reassure consumers that any product or service bought from a company displaying the ITSPA logo comes with a high standard of consumer protection. ITSPA members adhere to the mandatory Ofcom code as well as its own code of best practice, which is properly enforced and includes a dispute resolution procedure.
• To represent the voice of VoIP providers to Ofcom, the UK Government and the European Union (EU) institutions to ensure a favourable environment for the growth for VoIP;
• To investigate solutions for industry relating, for example, to peering and interoperability
