Taking Coverage Indoors with Femtocells:A Comprehensive Workshop

Led by:
Chris Cox, Marketing Manager, ip.access, UK

Objectives: As basestations continue to become smaller and smaller, a growing number of operators are expanding indoor coverage by the deployment of tiny radios designed for subscriber home use. Popularly dubbed the “home base station,” femtocells are a low-cost, low-power radio solution that opens up the potential of new FMC services while boosting coverage & bandwidth. This workshop will cover the key strategic drivers for femtocells as well as the technical specifications & challenges of network implementation. It will include a live demonstration and the latest experience from real life trials. You will walk away with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the solution that ABI Research predicts will grow to 102 million users worldwide by 2011.
