His research areas include mobile broadband, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, wireless VoIP, fixed-mobile convergence and IP Multimedia Subsystem. Gareth Sims is Head of Forecasting at Informa Telecoms and Media. He has over 8 years experience in statistical and financial modelling, specialising in the ICT industry. Over the last 5 years he has spearheaded the development of numerous forecasting products, spanning a range of wireless sectors from handsets through to mobile applications. He also manages the forecasts within WCIS, an industry leading market intelligence database whose numbers are quoted extensively throughout the ICT Industry. Before joining Informa, Gareth worked as a commercial analyst for MCI where he focused on European telecom pricing. Gareth holds a degree in Business Economics where he specialised in Econometrics.
