After his formal education and a brief job as a lab technician Paul took sales positions at BET Group and then at two IT trade publishers. He was poached in 1988 to join an American owned exhibition organiser NPL where he was responsible for all European sales. NPL was sold and Paul joined Interactive Group at which he stayed for five years progressing to the Board of Directors. Interactive Group was sold to Imark/VNU during this time. Paul decided to set up his own events and internet business in 1999 - Paradigm Europe Ltd organised a number of successful Applications Software ConFexes and established a tradingweb portal site for SME's. In 2000 Paul sold his share holding in Paradigm and took a brief sabbatical. Paul joined Informa in March 2001 as Exhibitions Director for IBC Telecoms - his remit was to reorganise the SpEx function to maximise revenue, preparing the team for growth. Paul streamlined the team and the way it operated. In March 2004 Paul became Managing Director of the Telecoms Conference business and in the short time he was in the role restructured the team into business Portfolio's. At the beginning of 2005 Paul was further promoted to Chief Marketing Officer of Informa Telecoms & Media as well as running the Business Portfolio responsible for the 3GSM World Congress and Mobile Communications International Magazine. Most recently his job title has changed to Executive Director and he is dedicating his efforts to doubling Wireless Strategies Portfolio over the next two years.
