Mike currently manages Informa Telecoms & Media's research and analysis team and is responsible for the strategic direction of the research programme. Tracking the mobile market since 2000 he has authored several strategic research reports and his areas of expertise include:

• Operator and vendor strategy
• Technology and rollout plans
• Regulatory policy and spectrum licensing
• Regional analysis

Mike is a frequent speaker at International conferences, including the 3GSM World Congress, the 3G World Congress and has contributed to industry titles including Global Mobile, Mobile Communications International and North American Wireless Analyst.
Prior to his current role, Mike was formerly research director for EMC (which rebranded as Informa Telecoms and Media in January 05) Mike was responsible for the research output of the industry leading World Cellular Information Service. Mike also oversaw the launches of the World Cellular Handset Tracker and World Cellular Data Metrics.
Mike holds a degree in Engineering and prior to joining Informa Telecoms & Media worked in this field.
