In her previous role Abigail was responsible for building and maintaining the editorial process for the Global Markets team at Informa, including online services and paper reports.

Adam is Media Research Manager within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research division. In this role Adam is responsible for Informa's output in the TV sector. Adam’s team is responsible for much of the content on the TV Intelligence Centre, while his most recent piece of research covers Eastern European Television*. It assesses the current status of the Eastern European TV sector, the threats to traditional TV services from emerging technologies, including an in-depth analysis of the viability of the new services. Adam has published research on the TV sectors in Asia Pacific, Latin America, North America, the Middle East, Africa and across Europe.

Adam has more than 10 years experience in the TV and wider media sector as both an analyst and a journalist. He worked as a reporter at CIA Medianetwork’s Channel 11, authored media research analysis for the Corporate Intelligence Group and was senior media analyst at Market Tracking International. He also wrote for the PSI’s prestigious Cultural Trends journal, before joining Informa Telecoms & Media in 2000. He graduated from Guildhall University in 1994, with a first class honours degree in Communications.

Angela is a research analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research team. Her research interests include myriad topics under the banner of mobile operator strategy, though her specialist expertise lies in roaming, churn and loyalty, and distribution and retail.

Angela has most recently completed an investigation into the trends in, drivers of and potential for the global mobile roaming market. The study gives thorough analysis to the crucial issues in roaming, including the existing and potential effects of market regulation, evolving operator business models and pricing strategy. Her current project focuses on questions in churn management and customer loyalty.

Also an experienced industry speaker, Angela has contributed to multiple Informa events, from agenda design to presenting her research.

Angela holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree and Master’s with distinction from the University of Manchester.

Eva is a key contributor to more in depth Informa’s Insight reports, such as 'Analysing Investment Trends in the Global Cellular Industry', where she focuses on mergers and acquisition trends in the Americas region, as well the CDMA-450 report, among others.

Giles also tracks the online content market, looking at how media organisations are moving online to find new distribution methods for their content. He also tracks new entrants such as Hulu and Bebo and assesses how such companies are challenging traditional media players and operators.

In his role Guillermo is responsible for much of the journalistic coverage provided by Informa of the mobile content and data applications industry globally - everything from breaking news and exposés to market analyses and profile pieces.

Guillermo has recently written exposés on the revenue deals struck between mobile operators and the big online-search brands and on the failure of GSM carriers in the US to monetise the expensive mobile location systems they’ve deployed under the E911 mandate. He was also the first to break the news of Orange and T-Mobile joining forces to trial MBMS mobile TV technology TDTV in the UK.

Guillermo is an experienced journalist who has worked in business and current affairs journalism in Europe and Latin America. He has edited an aviation business title, worked as a newspaper reporter and foreign correspondent in Central America and Mexico City, and first became involved with Informa as a stringer for Latincom in Mexico. James Moore is a Research Analyst among the Data & Forecasting team and his primary focus is the updating of content on the World Cellular Information Service.

At Informa Jamie is responsible for writing reports and articles that provide analysis and commentary on the growth and evolution of the market for (non peer-to-peer messaging) wireless data services. He is also responsible for the continual creation of unique content for Informa’s Content and Applications Intelligence Centre. Recent topics researched by Jamie include the Mobile Internet and Location Based Services markets.

Jamie has been working as an Analyst and Consultant to the Telecommunications industry since 1999. During which time he has gained considerable experience in Value Added Service and next-generation infrastructure deployment by wireless operators; as well as in the wholesale bandwidth market for submarine and terrestrial fibre optic networks.

Jamie’s day to day work has included writing research reports, developing databases of operational benchmarks as well as building front-end analytical tools. He has also provided bespoke consulting expertise to device manufacturers, platform/solution vendors and to telecommunications network infrastructure owners.

Julian Bright joined Informa Telecoms & Media in May 2005 as editor of the fortnightly newsletter, 3G Mobile, which subsequently merged with Wireless Broadband Analyst to form 3G Wireless Broadband. He is also responsible for editorial content on Informa’s Networks Intelligence Centre.

Julian writes about a range of wireless broadband technologies including WCDMA/HSPA, CDMA20001x EV-DO, mobile WiMAX, Wi-Fi and UWB/Bluetooth, and covers associated technology areas such as wireless VoIP, fixed-mobile convergence, multicast and broadcast technologies, wireless enterprise, machine to machine communications, next generation IP core networks and IMS technologies and strategies.

Julian directs the research for two services: the World Broadband Information Service, which is an online database of subscriber data and operational data covering the fixed telephony, broadband and media sectors; the Broadband and Internet Intelligence Centre, which is an online source of written analysis and data about broadband and internet, incorporating Telecom Markets, one of the world's oldest consecutively published telecoms newsletters.

Julian has researched the wireless and fixed line industries for 17 years. In addition to an extensive history with Informa he has, as a free-lance consultant, undertaken projects with various analyst firms and enjoyed a spell as Head of Research at Kable Ltd. Julian holds a degree in Classics from Oxford University and management qualifications from the Open University and the University of Humberside. Her findings are published as brief market updates across WCIS+, the Intelligence Centre and MCE services.

Before joining Informa, Katja has worked for many years in the telecoms sector as an analyst and information product manager. She is regularly invited to speak and moderate at telecoms industry and academic conferences to promote an open and research-intensive approach to understanding global telecoms trends. In her earlier work at Point Topic, a UK-based broadband research company, she has headed a number of consultancy projects for broadband service providers.

Katja holds a MSc degree in Geographical Information Science from the University of Leicester and a PhD in Oriental Studies from Cambridge University. She was awarded several national awards for her past geographical research and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

He has been mainly involved in the WCIS+ forecast for time being. He is currently responsible for the quarterly production of WCIS+ forecasts and the development and management of forecasting model. The most recent models he has developed are social economics and demographics statistical model. Based on the first degree in Accounting, Kenny also has some statistical and mathematical background. He got postgraduate diploma in Statistics at UCL, and was granted his MSc in Operational Research at LSE. Before joining the company in Feb, 2008, he just finished six month internship as Data & Risk analyst in a hedge fund company.

His areas of expertise cover some of the world’s most active and lucrative markets, such as the US, UK and Japan. He is also responsible for researching and analysing all countries in Western Europe’s Nordic region.

Ted graduated from the University of Reading with a first class honours degree in English Literature in 2005. Before moving into research, he took up temporary roles within the law and education industries. Work with a leading international law firm was followed by a brief role with a major UK examination board.

Thécla is a senior research analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research division and is a key contributor to Informa’s World Cellular Information Service.
In her role, Thécla is responsible for researching the telecoms industry in sub-Saharan Africa. Thécla also manages World cellular Data Metrics, in which Informa tracks mobile data usage and up-take, including SMS and MMS traffic volumes, mobile data subscriber information, MMSC contract awards, mobile data deployments and non-voice revenues. She is a key contributor to many of Informa’s reports such as the CDMA-450, HSPA or Multiple-SIM insights.

A native French speaker, Thécla is a regular speaker and moderator at international conferences in Africa and is often quoted in the regional and global business press.

Thomas is a Media Research Analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research division, focusing on TV and Entertainment. In his time with the company Thomas has contributed to reports on Digital Terrestrial Television, Cable and Satellite Television and IPTV. His areas of expertise include established European markets, such as Italy and Spain, as well as emerging markets, including Latin America and the Middle East.

Thomas graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in History in 2002. After a period working in the financial industry, he spent several years teaching English in Madrid, Spain. He gave classes to professionals at many leading domestic and international companies. During this time Thomas contributed work to Madrid’s foremost English-language magazine. Following his return to England, Thomas began working at Informa Telecoms & Media in 2007.

Thomas Wehmeier is a Principal Analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Industry Research division, where he heads up its regionally-focused research team.

His specialized interests lie in analyzing mobile operator strategies, in particular looking at the impact of technological evolution from 2G through 3G to 4G from an operator perspective. Thomas also looks closely at the impact of regulation on mobile operator business models.

Thomas has presented frequently at international events and is regularly quoted in the mainstream and trade press. He has a close relationship with Informa’s key clients and spends much of his time visiting operators, vendors & banks across Asia, Europe and the Americas to advise them on the latest developments in the global cellular industry.

Thomas is also the product manager of the Informa Telecoms & Media’s World Cellular Information Service, the leading service for quantitative intelligence on the mobile industry, which is trusted by blue-chip clients across all parts of the mobile value chain. In this role he is responsible for directing the overall strategy and development of the service ensuring it constantly evolves to reflect the speed of development of the mobile industry.

Tim is chairman of the film policy advisory group advising the Conservative Party and was the only business journalist asked to give evidence as the most recent British parliamentary investigation into the British film industry.

He has moderated panel discussions and given presentations in Abu Dhabi, Canada, Denmark and Holland for clients including the European Audiovisual Observatory.

As a native mandarin speaker, Tingting is now based in ITM’s Beijing Office and has a special research focus on tracking and analysing mobile industry developments in China. Her recent research covers in-depth analysis of Chinese mobile operators’ mobile data service strategies. She is also a regular contributor to ITM’s global insight reports.

Tingting joined Informa Telecoms & Media Group in Jan 2005. She holds a Masters Degree from University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s Degree from Foreign Affairs University, Beijing, China, majoring in English and International Relations.

Tony edits Informa Telecoms & Media's leading pan-Asia-Pacific communications publication ASIAcom, covering the pay-TV, Internet, wireless and broadband markets across the region and also collaborates with colleagues on Informa’s Asia-Pacific specialist media and telecoms related reports.

A graduate of the University of Westminster, London, Tony has been researching and writing on the global communications and entertainment industries since starting out with Financial Times newsletters in 1994.

He joined Baskerville Communications in 1995 and worked as a research editor on a wide range of TV and communications research and management reports before moving to Australia in late 1997 where he worked as a freelance researcher and journalist before returning to Baskerville in early-2000 as TV Editor of ASIAcom.
